The plan ladder is built around production volume

Adobe currently lists Firefly Standard at $9.99 with 2,000 credits, Pro at $19.99 with 4,000, Pro Plus at $49.99 with 10,000 and Premium at $199.99 with 50,000 credits plus broader video access. The range covers casual image experimentation through high-volume professional generation.

The number looks precise, but a credit does not represent one finished asset. Different features consume different amounts, and the first generation is rarely the approved result.

Start with a monthly production calendar

Count the deliverables that require generative work: campaign concepts, product images, short clips, voice or sound experiments. Estimate how many iterations each normally takes, then add a buffer for review. That creates a workload model that can be compared with Adobe’s current feature costs.

Do not base the plan on the busiest launch month of the year. It may be cheaper to upgrade temporarily than to carry unused capacity for twelve months.

Check what Creative Cloud already includes

Creative Cloud subscriptions include their own allocation of generative credits, and separate Firefly credits may stack with that allowance. A designer already paying for Creative Cloud Pro should measure the included capacity before adding another plan.

This is a common source of duplicate spend: the team buys a specialist AI plan without checking the credits bundled into the software it already owns.

Video changes the economics

Premium generative video and audio features can consume capacity much faster than standard image tools. A creator who produces one polished video campaign may need more credits than a designer creating dozens of image variations.

Track cost per approved second of video or per delivered campaign, not cost per click on Generate. That aligns the subscription with client or business value.

ScoutSubs verdict

Use the smallest plan that covers an ordinary month, then upgrade for planned production peaks. Creative Cloud subscribers should exhaust included credits before stacking Firefly. A high credit balance is not productivity; approved output is.
